Dogs are Ambassadors — Yes they are!

My husband and I have been walking early mornings while it’s cool and we are always amazed how we meet our neighbors through their dogs.  This week, we were walking and encountered a neighbor walking her two golden retrievers – “Puck” and “Blue.”  As we stopped to pet the dogs and exchange greetings, we found out that her husband is an avid pheasant hunter.  Of course I had to share that I worked for Pheasants Forever.  The conversation continued with a report of which dog was the better retriever, the advantages of flushers vs. pointers and what we all liked to do for recreation.  We went on our way feeling just a little more a part of our neighborhood community and looking forward to seeing Puck and Blue – Julie too– on another morning walk.  Has your dog introduced you to people you would not normally have met?  Write and share your story.

Hello from Scott Julie’s husband. I tried to post a picture of Puck and Blue but was unsuccessful. Getting closer to fall and I’m looking forward to getting into the field with the boys.

Scott — Thanks for replying. You have a couple of great dogs and we enjoy greeting them when we are walking! Hope you have a terrific hunting season this fall. Nice boat you are working on in your yard too!
