Dog of the Day: “Emma”

“Emma” is Pheasants Forever member George Cummins’ 11-year-old Weimaraner. His first dog, Cummins trained Emma and the pair has hunted in South Dakota for nine consecutive years, that state’s pheasant opener being an annual tradition. “This dog has opened a lot of doors for me in the wingshooting world, “Cummins says, “From guiding youth pheasant hunts to meeting some of the nicest people I ever met.”

What a special dog, and great owner! My dad, son & I have had the pleasure of hunting with Emma on a few SD opening days over the years and look forward to seeing her each year. Thanks for posting, the memories brought a smile tonight!
