Dog of the Day: In Memory of “Katie”

Cadi

Bill Dickerson’s Chesapeake Bay retriever, “Katie,” showed off her talents on this North Dakota pheasant hunt. “Chesapeakes seldom get any credit in the upland game world, but this gal did her job,” Dickerson said, “She is gone now but will always be missed.”

Bill—never get’s any easier, losing a dog. Chessies can certainly do upland as well as any flusher. All depends on the genetics and the master. Get them on upland birds when they are a pup and you will indeed have a upland bird dog.

What a beautiful dog. Her color is incredible.
