Dog of the Day: “Jazz”

Jay Gore is a longtime Pheasants Forever member from Missoula, Montana, is a professed “Lab” guy. “I have black Labs and am very partial to them, they mean the world to me,” Gore says. His seven-year-old, Jazz Whacker, was rescued from a situation in North Dakota at the age of one. “The owner said he was gun shy and wouldn’t make a hunter. I mentored him with my older Lab, and he learned to enjoy boat rides and became a good hunter/retriever having finished this year with an overall total of 467 birds retrieved. And he’s turned out to be a pointing Lab – an extra bonus.”
