Dog of the Day: “Libby”

“Libby” is Randy Harris’ one-year-old German shorthaired pointer. Following a snakebite and the recovery process, “Libby” made her first trip to South Dakota last autumn. “It was her first hunting trip and I didn’t have much time to train her and she had to wear a boot while we were out hunting,” Harris says, “I was just amazed how well she hunted for the little amount of training she had. It was obvious to me that it is mostly instinct. The best thing for me was watching her point her first bird.”
