Pheasant Hunting Preview 2011 Magazine

Pheasants Forever's Pheasant Hunting Preview 2011

If your bird dog is trained to get the mail, keep a close watch during the first week of July – you don’t want those four legs walking off with Pheasants Forever’s first annual Pheasant Hunting Preview magazine.

Pheasants Forever’s roots as an organization are planted with pheasant hunters who saw upland habitat dwindling across the Midwest and had the conviction to do something about it. For many involved with Pheasants Forever (myself included), pheasant hunting was an introductory course to the outdoors and the gateway into the world of wildlife habitat conservation. Collectively, our members’ desire to hunt pheasants, combined with the need for places to do so, has been a driving force behind more than 400,000 wildlife habitat projects and 150,000 acres of permanently protected habitat now open to public hunting. Starting in 2011 and going forward, Pheasants Forever’s Pheasant Hunting Preview magazine will annually celebrate this tradition and the sport.

The Pheasant Hunting Preview 2011 magazine will look unlike any publication Pheasants Forever has produced. From cover to cover, we’ve redesigned the Pheasants Forever Journal to capture the essence of a pheasant hunt – friends, family, dogs, shotguns, wild birds and wild places – from beginning to end, from “Loadin’ Up” to “The Golden Hour.” There’s plenty more, but in abiding by an old bird hunter’s axiom, we don’t give away all our secrets at once. Just make sure you beat your dog to the mailbox.

The Pheasant Hunting Preview is reserved only for current Pheasants Forever members. Expired or non-members have until June 10 to join Pheasants Forever and ensure they receive the first of its kind publication. The issue will mail July 1st. To check on your membership status, call Pheasants Forever toll free at (877) 773-2070.
